Goldens - Sara’s
Club was founded July 4th, 1995, when our first golden
retriever was born. We named her Lady Sara, Sara for short.
We searched for the most perfect golden we could find with
the hopes of some day having the privilege of breeding her.
Her certifications all came back good, and in September 1997
she had her first litter. Thus Sara’s Club now had 10
members, including Sara.
The nine puppies grew up and went to live in wonderful new
homes (see Happy Homes).
Two of Sara’s puppies decided to stay and live with us,
Maggie and Clarabelle. Clarabelle had her own first litter
of 10 pups on Christmas Eve, 2001. One of Clarabelle’s
puppies also decided to stay and live with us. This puppy,
Ms. Molly, grew up and had her own litter of 9 pups in
August 2004. We kept one of her pups and named her Bailie.
Bailie had a beautiful litter of 10 pups in May of 2007 and
a litter of 4 pups in 2008. Along the way we added a mix
breed Weenie. She proved to be a wonderful aunt, and
assisted raising Bailie puppies. Along the way our beautiful
Sara left us, along with Maggie & Clarabelle to play at
Rainbow Bridge. If only
the great could live forever.
Goldendoodles -
In 2010 we swung in a slightly different direction by having
a Goldendoodle litter. By adding the
healthy and non shedding characteristics the Poodle Breed,
to the wonderful disposition of the Golden Retriever breed,
we figured these popular pups would make Lady Sara proud.
To keep Bailie's mothering instincts intact between litters,
we added Nick, an eight-pound Mini Dachschund. Just
kidding, he was just too cute to pass up.
Then add a few kitties, and you have non-stop fun. Check out pictures of all of our furry kids at
Golden Girls.
Our goal is to breed the best Goldendoodles that we possibly can.
Our dogs have excellent hip ratings, current eye & elbow
clearances. All of our puppies are raised indoors, in the
middle of our living quarters, and given constant attention.
We have open puppy visit days for perspective
owners and close friends to give the puppies a great dose of
socializing with people of all kinds, and give kids and
adults a good dose of puppy kisses. See
Saturday Visits for
pictures from this event filled day.
